Padrão especial de segurança para Google pode estar a caminho do Chrome OS

Google is working to bring its security standard, Titan, along with its security key with USB output to devices with the Chrome OS operating system. Titan is a special security mechanism of the company that runs both hardware and software and uses a microprocessor for real-time monitoring and hardware compatibility checking during system boot.

Titan was developed internally by Google and is currently only used in the company's own systems. The engine performs scans to ensure that the integrity of the system under its protection is maintained and to search for known malicious code patterns. The service also has preprogrammed self-preservation guidelines that guarantee that its operation can not be harmed remotely or in person.

It is important to note, however, that Titan is still restricted exclusively to the internal use of Google. However, the company's efforts to introduce more of this layer of security to Chrome OS may mean an interest in implementing future improvements for the public, as it has been demonstrating with searches for bug fixes in the operating system, for example.

It is at least an indication that there is some intent to make your operating system more robust for critical tasks, and in the future a possible opening of Titan - or other security standards for customers, even if only corporate ones - can be a differential used in selling Chrome OS as a weighty alternative to these markets.
